Q.  How often should I change the battery in my smoke detector?
    A. 

You should change your batteries at least every 6 months. (Change them when the time changes)

    Q.  Should I have an exit plan for my home in the event of a fire?
    A.  Yes, every home should have an exit plan and it should be practiced often, so that in an emergency everyone knows what to do. If you need help developing a fire exit plan, contact MFD.
    Q.  What is your I.S.O. rating?
    A.  Monroeville Fire / Rescue currently have an I.S.O. rating of 4.
    Q.  What is your coverage area?
    A.  MFD responds to fires within the city limits approximately 13.5 square miles and responds county wide to provide rescue services.
   Q.  How do I obtain a burn permit?
    A.  The City of Monroeville has a No-Burn ordinance, therefore no burning of rubbish is allowed. There is a $250 fine for violators.
    Q.  How can I get a copy of a fire report?
    A.  A copy of your fire report may be obtained at Fire Station # 1 downtown
