John has been involved in numerous volunteer activities since retiring from the Army. In 1995, he founded the Military Intelligence Corps Association, the national professional organization of the Armys Military Intelligence Corps, serving as its first president for eight years. In addition to the Sheriffs Assist Team, John is the Scholarship Chairman for the Coronado Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America. He is also active in Rotary International and serves on the Board of Directors for the American Southwest Credit Union.
