Lab Services

SGMC Lab Services provides a convenient, efficient location for blood and specimen tests. Our private registration bays ensure confidentiality during the process. Please remember to bring your ID and insurance card.

Here's what you can expect:

• Registration: Approximately ten minutes
• Lab Test Draws: Typically ten minutes or more
• Appointments: Not needed, except for Glucose Tolerance tests
• Physician's Order: All tests require a signed order, not a stamped one
• Dropping off Specimens: Check with staff for necessary information
• HIPAA Compliance: Patient info is not stored in the Walk-In Laboratory

For pre-op patients, visit the Outpatient Center to ensure your lab results are added to your chart before scheduled surgery. Your convenience and confidentiality are our priorities at SGMC Lab Services.
